    How long have you been handling the reins of Hyatt Ludhiana?
    I have been in the role for the last seven months.

     In your stint, what kind of customer evolution have you seen over the years?
    Two decades ago the focus for a guest was mostly the opulence they felt when they walked into a hotel or a room. In time the requirement was more of how functional was the room in regards to their purpose of visit. Todays’ guests who travel widely are more so looking for a differential experience. Thus Hotel brands are working on what differentiates them from another and is niche in bringing back customers. There is more emphasis on personalization of experience during stay at hotels.

    According to you, how important is the f&b for the growth and popularity of the hotel?
    F&B is one of the mainstays of the hotel in terms of revenue. It is the Restaurants or Events space that provides word of mouth publicity within the city. As with changing times people are spending more time meeting up friend, relatives or colleagues in these spaces where they can socialize rather than be bound of looking after them during such occasions or events. Thus F&B adds a lot of value in terms of recognition and visibility for the Hotel.   Guests can choose to dine at one of the best restaurants in Ludhiana at Hyatt Ludhiana: Kitchen at 95, our all-day dining restaurant, or the Indian Restaurant Tannur. Guests can also enjoy the comforts of a lounge at The Gallery Bar.


    As a GM what special touch do you bring to the property?
    It is my endeavour to let people be their best at what they do and feel like an extended family at work. This brings out the true potential in them and helps them deliver unique experiences to our guests. It is also required that we are switched on at all times to changing scenarios and that we adapt accordingly.


    How important is MICE for your property?
    Hyatt Regency Ludhiana is the perfect choice to host conventions, business events and weddings. With a capacity of up to 300 guests, the Hyatt Regency Ballroom can be used for weddings, product launches and conferences of varying capacities.     As an hotelier, which aspect of hospitality industry or which phase of a hotel opening gives you maximum kick and why?
    The ability to make a difference in people’s lives be it colleagues, guest or community is the most gratifying moment.  One place in India you would love to travel to.
    Srinagar is one place I have been looking forward to experience for a very long time.

    How important is MICE for your property?
    We at Hyatt Regency Ludhiana have the largest inventory of rooms and suites in the city thereby having the capability of handling such MICE movements. This is an important segment of our business and there is constant focus on growing it.

    One Hotel you would love to ‘manage’.
    I would love to manage ‘The Park  Hyatt Dubai’ if the stars shine on me as much.

    What is the USP of Hyatt Ludhiana?
    Our biggest USP is being located on Ferozepur road which is close to the business district and to the affluent residential quarter. We have contemporary rooms that are largest in terms of area and inventory within the city. We also have a rooftop swimming pool with desired privacy
    for guest and with one of the best views in Ludhiana. The quality of food  that we serve in “Kitchen at 95” – all day dining, “Tannur” – our Indian restaurant and in our Ball room is highly appreciated by all our Guests & Ludhanvi’s.  

    Which is your favourite corner in the hotel?
    A ringside view table at ‘Kitchen at 95’ is my favourite corner in the hotel.
